We had a great day at The Big Goal, Street Soccer Foundation regionals in Nottingham on 26th April! It was a good effort from the Inform Billing team but, unfortunately, we didn’t make it through to the finals, we had some tough competition and the winners in our group did go through to win overall.
The Big Goal is an industry-led initiative in partnership with the Street Soccer Foundation, aiming to tackle youth homelessness and drive positive social change to take 1,600 young people off the street and into employment. Through our sponsorship, we are funding a Street Soccer Academy with the Street Soccer Foundation and Derby County Community Trust, to tackle youth homelessness in our city. A massive thank you to all the Inform Billing Football Team for continually getting stuck in and giving it their best: Ash, Ewan, John, Matt, Max, Mohammed, Naryan, Rob, Wayne and of course…..Premier League winner, Danny Simpson, for pitching in, despite being injured and making two saves on our behalf!
More to come later in the year, when we visit our sponsored Street Soccer Foundation Academy at Derby County.
Check out more photos from the day!
We also had some lovely good luck messages from some of our friends who know a ‘bit’ about football, ex professionals Steve Guinan, Dean Holdsworth and David Beckham 😉
